In 2022 Henrico County experienced:
⦁ 15% increase across the total number of Part I Offenses from 2021, and an 8% increase from the county’s five-year average.
⦁ Homicides increased 20%;
⦁ Homicides increased 76% from the 5-year average.
⦁ Burglaries increased 41%
⦁ Auto thefts increased 20%.
⦁ Assaults increased 14%.
⦁ There was an increase Rapes both in 2021 and 2022.
⦁ Larcenies increased 15%
⦁ Larcenies from autos increased 34%.
⦁ Catalytic converter theft increased 2%.
⦁ 243 guns were stolen from vehicles; 65% were from reported unlocked vehicles.
⦁ Seven (7) guns were caught inside schools.
